Education:

Bachelor of Science (1979) from National College, Basavanagudi, Bangalore; Master of Science (1981) in Nuclear Physics from Manasa Gangothri, Mysore. Follows principles of Dr.H.Narasimhaiah, Former Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University who worked for scientific reasoning and eradication of superstitious beliefs during 1970's and 80's.

Rotary:

Joined Rotary Shimoga East (1983), Served as President (1996-97), as Assistant Governor (2003-04) and as District Governor NITHYOTHSAVA year during 2011-12. Now serving in Rotary Crematorium and Rotary School, run by Home Club Rotary Shimoga East. During 2016-17 serving as Director - Community Service & also Chair - Grants Sub Committee, of the newly formed Rotary International District 3182.

Assistant Governor: Rtn.S.Devanand

S.Devanand S/o Smt. Shanthamma and Shree S.Siddalingappa, primary education at Saint Charles Convent, High School at Sacred Heart High School, Shimoga. Studied Bachelor of Science in DVS College. Shimoga, Mysore University, Classification - Insurance Advisor, married to Smt. Uma and blessed with only daughter, Nidhi Anand, pursuing 1st year BE at JNNCE, Shimoga. Joined Rotary in the year 2007-08, and became Charter Secretary and served as President in the year 2011-12. And served as Zonal Co-ordinator Sports in the year 2012-13, as Zonal Co-ordinator for Culture in the year 2013-14 and Zonal Lieutenat in the year 2015-16 and nominated Assistant Governor for Zone-10 for the year 2016-17.

Zonal Lieutenant: Rtn.T.S.Dushyanth Raj

S/o Smt. Nethravathi and Sathyanarayana.T.R, completed his primary education in Bhadravathi and Pre University at Sir M.V College, Bhadravathi. He obtained Bachelor of Business Management from ATNCC College, Shimoga, Mysore University in 1993, Classification: Motion Film Exhibition. He married Smt. Latha and blessed with two sons Kumara Harshavardhana studying 7th std and Kumara Vishnuvardhana studying 1st std. Joined Rotary in the year 2000 and became President of Rotary Club Bhadravathi in the year 2009-10 Golden Jubilee Year during 50th year of Rotary Club Bhadravathi.

He served as Zonal Co-ordinators for sports and culture activities and nominated Zonal Lieutenant for Zone 10 in the year 2016-17.

President: Rtn.Surendra.B.

Born in Soraba Taluk of Shimoga district to Smt. Sannamma and Shri Bangarashetty. He graduated in commerce from Mysore University in 1991. He started his career as an Auditor and served various Industrial and finance corporations for 10 years. Then he got registered as an Auditor and Tax Practitioner in Commercial Tax Department, Bangalore as his profession. In 2012-13, he started the firm "AJS Technosoft" at Keonics IT Park delivering various services like BPO/KPO, Telecom, Tally Authorized Training Institute and various skill development programs offered by Central Government to youth. He married Smt. Shobhavathi on June 14 and blessed with two sons Raghavendra and Ravindra.

He joined Rotary in the year 2008 as a founder member and served as bulletin editor for that year. He served Rotary in various capacities and got elected as President for the term 2016-17.

He is the second Indian to rise to the high echelons of Rotary International. He joined Rotary in 1961 and served the club as president in 1970-71, District Governor 1976-77, R.I.Director 1981-83 and R.I.President 1991-92.

Awards and Recognition: The government of India conferred him "Padmashree" in 2006; "Udyog Rattan Award" by the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Governor's Message:

By providence my name itself is associated with Shimoga! When I heartily wish all success to the Charter presentation ceremony and issue of "Swarna Chakra" bulletin of it I shall be serving myself! But, after all, which Governor gets a chance like this!!

Our Governor's Special Representative:

Joined Rotary in 1975. He was member of Eight Rotary Clubs in different parts of the country. Served Vijaya Bank for 29 years and took V.R.S in 2000. He served Rotary in various capacities. He has made all out efforts in the formation of our club with 46 Charter Members. He has heartily wished our club all success.
